My artwork is created from places that I've visited, or experiences that have formed a part of my life since attending the University of Illinois in Architecture. For example, the Silver King Mine painting from Park City was a place my family had a connection to thru my Dad's Geology Field Camp for Purdue University.

The Gilmore Gas Company was a unique Los Angeles institution. I believe the last station closed in 1945. Gilmore was a farmer that struck oil on his farm in LA, and the rest is history. I've always wanted to paint this view going back several years after visiting with my daughter.
I've been painting watercolors since college, with the caveat that there was a big gap in the work.
